Found this in a chain E-mail from a friend of mine. As I hate chain e-mails I was going to reply to her saying: “Why? Just why the hell to do you bother with this ‘if 20 friends reply to this e-mail your crush will kiss you tomorrow’ shit?!”.Then I realised that sadly, as an elder, I can’t tell her that it is bullshit because she has become a person who has been rejected too many times that she now needs something to believe in. She wants to have someone to hold her so badly that she is willing to believe in anything. As I am now someone in a relationship, even as a friend, I can’t even give her my opinion as it is now not the same level as hers.
I can’t decide if I want her to be in a relationship not because I find it sickening that people can get to this point, believing that an e-mail can bring you love. Only you can actually find it. These things happen by chance but you can’t be looking for them. Go outside, socialise, exercise, play on the fucking swings anything BUT sitting around waiting for replies to an e-mail!!!
Although she is a really good friend, refuse to reply to the e-mail at all, I feel now that I am now one step closer to greater understanding ^^
